I imagine the longevity of shows like Y&R is due to the addictive nature of the stories. I’ve felt that addiction in other types of shows, plus things like comics. As a writer, if you can hook your audience that way, that’s an accomplishment.

I agree, Rich. Some of my friends created amazing sitcoms. It rarely happens twice—one long-running show. I'm still trying to sell one of mine. :)
We definitely need more comedy.
